Angel Animatic

Image
Here is my angel storyboard revisited as an animatic, here the frames are animated to give a better flow to whats going on. Here is the finished product. I think it went well overall showing my storyboard as an animatic but next time I would like the quality to be a bit better on some clips, this was due to an exporting error compressing some clips, for my next animatic of my imagined worlds I will check carefully to make sure everything renders well. I cannot revisit these clips in premier as I didn't save the premier files which I will make sure to do next time. If I want to make this better I will have to start some of the files from scratch again 1 There is a few differences between a storyboard and a playboard. Storyboards will have different pictures with text to show what will happen, there is also arrows that show the camera movement such as a pan shot. Storyboards are usually used for films while playboards are used for games. In a playboard it is mostly in the

Imagined worlds - Sound

Image
Here is my imagined worlds sound task. Firstly we had to record the sounds which we did by holding the mic close to the source of the sound like the road or hallway. First we had to choose sounds for our scene, mine being future London. We made a list of diegetic and non diegetic sounds. 1 Diegetic sound is sound you can see on the screen for example if you see a road with cars driving you can hear the car engines, that is diegetic. Non diegetic sounds are sounds that you dont see in the scene but work with it, for example if you are underwater a sound that would work with the theme like a submarine radar noise. We went out and recorded lots of different sounds. To record these we used a shotgun mic which gave us the sound in high quality and meant that we could record at range for places like the road. We also connected this to a XLR cable which then was connected to our zoom recorder. Finally we plugged some headphones into the zoom recorder. For my scene I used wal

Imagined worlds - Final composition

Image
Next in our imagined worlds task we had to create a basic composition of our work. For my project out of my thumbnails I choose the futuristic London although I did make some changes as detailed below. Here is my basic composition of London, here is my horizon line to show where to cut off the buildings. On the far right building there is also a feint red circle that would help with the perception too. Next I added more buildings to show more depth and also changed the clock faces on Big Ben to a darker shade as it gave more glow to the clock lights which I will show next. Here is my clock face with the different color background on the tower, as you can see with the dark background the handle and circles are much more vibrant and glow more because the colors are quite the opposite of each other. Next I made the background, I thought that I wanted the scene to be much more vibrant than my thumbnail, so I removed the smoke completely but sti
