VFX Shot acquisition

Image
To get the correct exposure you can change a few things. The ISO/ASA, this can change the sensitivity of the camera sensor to the light. The lens aperture or f stop (iris) , this can also affect the depth of field. Also colour charts and zebra bars are used. The lens focal length is the different focus lengths that cameras can go. The human eye can see 50mm but the camera can see up too 600. A 360 degree camera can be used to record a HDRI, this is a high dynamic range imaging of the lighting conditions in the shoot so this lighting can be recreated on software like maya.

Past, Present and Future of Gaming Platforms

Throughout the years consoles and video games have been developed. Each year as more consoles and more games come out they improve on past games and consoled with new features and interactivity each time. Arcade Video games and consoles started with Arcade. In 1971 Computer space was announced as the first commercial video arcade game, then in 1972 the first successful game commercially was Pong. In arcades you normally had to input coins to play on the big machines. In the late 1970's and early 80's such games came out such as "Space invaders" (1978) , "Pac-Man" (1980) and "Donkey Kong" (1981). These years have been called "The golden age of video games" after these years the arcade began to saturate as clones of already made games began to appear. Console The first home console was a wooden box with two controllers that was named "Brown box" there was only 6 games for the console which were very simple. Later on Atar

Maya End Assignment: "Exploratory vehicle - Steampunk fish"

Image
This week in maya we were tasked for our final project to make an exploratory vehicle. For my vehicle I decided to make a steampunk fish which acts like a submarine. Firstly I started with putting the image on the image plane which would help me too create my model. Here there was three designs from the image I found. I decided to do the fish with the most detail that looks like it could be a submarine. Firstly I started with the main body of the fish which I cut with the knife tool too get the weird shape of the body on a plane. Then with this flat plane shape I used the extrude up the body. Next it was time to do the top fin where I also used the knife tool on the flat plane to get these shapes. On this fin unlike the body I also used the knife to cut out some details which when I extruded the fin some parts were extruded at different heights which made it easier to texture and cut an extruded fin would of caused all types of issues later on. Now the top fin is done I

Game reviews

FPS Fps stands for first person shooter which is one of the most played genres of games. In these games you only see in first person giving off the illusion that you are the character. Most fps games take a lot of skill with a steep learning curve to be the best. Counter-strike : Global Offensive Counter-strike : Global Offensive or "csgo" for short is the most recent game in the "Counter-strike" series which started with  the original Counter-Strike which was created November 9th 2000 .  All of the Counter-strike games consist of two teams. One team of terrorists and one of counter-terrorists. For this review I'll refer as terrorists as "T" and counter-terrorists as "CT". The aim of the game for T side is to either eliminate all of the CTs or plant the bomb which is given to one player in one of the two dedicated sites and defend it for 40seconds until it explodes. The goal of the CTs is to eliminate the T side or defuse the planted bo
